About Us

N&G Marsh was formed in 1948, and was started by Neville & Gordon Marsh (brother and cousin).

Both were scientific instrument makers who worked for the Cambridge Instrument Company. They decided they wanted to branch out and form their own business, and their own engineering works seemed the best use for their talents. There was also a high demand in the rural areas of Cambridgeshire for agricultural engineering.

Thus N&G Marsh was born. They quickly became the go-to business for farmers in the village of Burwell and surrounding area. Since then the business has diversified into all manner of bespoke metal work, including gates, rails and fences, security bars, as well as continuing to serve the local farming community. N&G Marsh can also make metal components from scratch and from drawing.

Our aim has always been to provide a high quality, customised and efficient service at competitive prices to meet customer needs – an objective that has remained core to our business for last 64 years.
